2:30 on Channel 9 or 3:30 on Channel 17

I used to be a huge fan of the television show, "The Smurfs." When I was at a certain age, this show came on twice per day; once at 2:30 on channel 9, and once at 3:30 on channel 17. I wasn't in school at the time, so for the most part I could watch the show at whichever time I wanted. But, I greatly preferred to watch it at 2:30 on channel 9. Why? Not because I just wanted to see it as soon in the day as possible. No, not at all. You see, channel 17 was a "scary" channel number, and 3:30 was a "scary" time to watch TV, whereas I felt that channel 9 was a relatively comforting channel number, and 2:30 was a comforting time of day.

Where did I get this idea? I have no clue. But I remember having a strong preference for watching the Smurfs at 2:30 on channel 9.
